3. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is superb for relieving of an itchy scalp while eliminating dandruff after a few days of application. This could be used once you need to wash your hair. It is used in place of shampoo.
Dilute the vinegar with water in the ratio of 1:1. That is, one cup of vinegar to one cup of water. Use the mixture to wash your hair as you would with shampoo.
5. Use of Orange Rind or Peels
Orange rind or orange peels have acidic properties that can help limit excess oil at the same time acting as a conditioner. Using this treatment will take care of your scalp eventually. Continue this treatment for 2-3 times a week over 3-4 weeks, until you notice the dandruff on your hair has been eliminated.
You will need to get lemon juice and shampoo in addition to the dry orange rind.
- Blend a few dry orange peels with 5-6 tablespoons of lemon juice in a mixer until it forms a smooth paste.
- Apply the pasty mixture to your scalp, and allow it to stay for about 30 minutes
- Rinse off with your shampoo. Preferably a mild one.
Shampoo your hair properly whenever you choose to wash your hair. When the hair is not properly washed, it allows for dead cells and oil to accumulate on the scalp. So washing the hair and scalp properly, is the first step to healthy hair. Conditioner, if and when applied should be applied in such a way that it avoids the scalp.
